A few of us from Vintage Designer Clothing took a "field trip" to LACMA to document the Century of Fashion exhibit for all those die-hard fashion mavens who couldn't make it there themselves.   In case you are wondering why the lighting seems to be dim, it's because flash photography of the exhibit is prohibited (it would damage the clothes).
   I even managed to copy all the signs to reproduce for you so you wouldn't miss a thing.    (I have tired little fingers from all that transcribing.)    Each decade link on this page features the museum narrative (verbatim) of that decade, pictures, and descriptions of each of the 30 outfits that showed at LACMA until January 5, 2003.   We hope you enjoy . . . .
